Visitors of the Denver March PowWow can view more than 100 different Native tribes (from 38 states and Canadian provinces) participating in dancing, singing, storytelling, food, art, and entertainment. It is a special event that allows Native people to honor their heritage and ancestors, and to come together to honor each other.
Dancing is the main event at the powwow, and it allows visitors to observe how each tribe and individual interprets their music. Visitors can also purchase authentic arts, crafts, and food from over 170 different booths.
In 2015, the powwow will take place March 20-22 at the Denver Coliseum in Denver, CO.
